Librarians

At Shirley Heath we love reading, therefore our school library is very important to all of us.

Our Year 6 librarians commit to working hard in the day to day upkeep of the library. 

Once trained, they are independent enough to carry out many activities which include labelling and stickering new books and re-stocking shelves. Their confidence develops enough for them to assist younger pupils choosing suitable library books at breaktimes. During the Summer Term, they start to train Year 5 pupils ready to become librarians the following school year. 

We are really proud of our reliable, responsible librarians.
